The Depth Silver Brings to Jewelry

The "Dior à Versailles" collection combines modern jewelry-making techniques, made possible by contemporary expertise, with traditional methods such as layering pink gold and silver, and trompe-l'œil bezels.

Monsieur Dior himself once drew inspiration from the magnificent beauty of the Palace of Versailles, evoking the most splendid era in French history. Even today, it serves as the starting point for the latest collection, crafted by Creative Director Victoire de Castellane.

What moved her and was incorporated were not the vistas or the perfectly balanced architecture itself, but the details of the various decorative arts within the palace.

The diamond drop necklace evokes the crystal tassels adorning a chandelier. There are also details reminiscent of parquet flooring, candelabras, and mirror frames.

Furthermore, silver with a dark finish has been employed in several settings. This lends depth to the forms, conveying the mystique inspired by 18th-century jewelry techniques.

The contrast between rose-cut and briolette-cut diamonds and modern baguette cuts with white gold is striking. Meanwhile, pure Rococo floral motifs harmonize with a necklace of meticulously arranged diamonds.

"Dior à Versailles" is a collection that fully expresses French aesthetic sensibilities.
