Renewed Model with Refined Details
The "Aquatimer" divers watch collection, which underwent a significant renewal last year and garnered much attention, is now arriving in Japan one after another in 2010.
Among them, the "Aquatimer Automatic 2000" pictured here is a must-have. This model boasts a 2000-meter water resistance and features a change from an inner bezel to an outer rotating bezel. Many divers' models are equipped with a helium escape valve to prevent case damage, but this model uses a robust case construction that eliminates the need for a potentially failure-prone valve. In addition to the satin-finished case, the sides of the bezel are finished with a polished, scratch-resistant treatment.
The renewed model's rotating bezel, made of sapphire crystal, is also treated with luminous paint. The yellow elements, including the minute hand, are applied thickly to further enhance legibility. Of course, strap changes are now even easier with the renewal. IWC has introduced a model that embodies their signature approach, with meticulous attention to detail aimed at achieving a more robust construction.
