Kyoto's Art Singularity! ARTISTS’ FAIR KYOTO, an art fair transcending existing boundaries, will be held.

Kyoto Prefecture and the ARTISTS' FAIR KYOTO Executive Committee will hold "ARTISTS' FAIR KYOTO" for the first time, focusing on contemporary art in Kyoto.

This is a groundbreaking event that transcends the existing framework of art fairs, offering both exhibition and entertainment value. It will be a two-day event where many who wish to support culture can directly experience the fusion of art and market.

With contemporary artist Noboru Tsubaki as director and Mitsuhiro Ikeda, Kaori Usubo, Daisuke Ohba, Kimihiko Katsumata, Tetsumasa Kinoshita, Kengo Kito, Tomoko Sawada, Chiharu Shiota, Kohei Takahashi, Kohei Nawa, Mai Miyake, and Kenji Yanobe—12 artists active on the world stage—as advisors, emerging artists were selected through their curation. The exhibition will primarily feature 36 emerging artists in their 20s to early 30s, with surprise support exhibits from the advisory board, bringing the total number of exhibited works to over 100.

ARTISTS’ FAIR KYOTO

The fair will showcase over 100 works, primarily by 36 emerging artists recommended by prominent contemporary artists active both domestically and internationally, along with pieces by artists connected to Kyoto. Directed by contemporary artist Noboru Tsubaki and with venue design by dot architects, the exhibition will unfold within a historically significant Meiji-era building, a designated Important Cultural Property of Kyoto, creating a stimulating display of contemporary art. This new art fair, launching from Kyoto—a city that has consistently fostered innovation from tradition—offers a unique encounter between the modern and the classic, making its eccentric space a key highlight.
