The gateway to the future of contemporary art, "ARTISTS' FAIR KYOTO 2026 MYNAVI ART AWARD," will be held.

ARTISTS' FAIR KYOTO 2026 (AFK2026), an artist-led art fair set in the historic city of Kyoto, will present the "ARTISTS' FAIR KYOTO 2026 Mynavi ART AWARD" (Mynavi ART AWARD), honoring young artists dedicated to creating new forms of art, with support from main sponsor Mynavi Corporation.

The Mynavi ART AWARD selects outstanding artists from among those exhibiting at AFK. Since 2022, with the cooperation of Mynavi Corporation, the award has encouraged emerging artists through expert and impartial judging, while also supporting the winners with solo exhibitions to foster their new expressions.

For AFK2026, the judging panel will be joined by Yukie Kamiya, who has held key positions at the Japan Society, Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art, and the New Museum, and currently serves as Chief Curator at The National Art Center, Tokyo; Chinatsu Makiguchi, Chief Curator at The National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto, known for her exhibitions that bridge contemporary art, fashion, and visual expression; and Hiroki Yamamoto, a cultural researcher and Associate Professor at Japan Women's University, active in various fields from critical writing to curation. Together with AFK Director Noboru Tsubaki, they will select works from diverse perspectives to support the further growth of young artists.

On February 20, 2026, the Mynavi ART AWARD ceremony will be held in an open format at the Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto, welcoming all attendees. It will be an opportunity to hear judges' comments, gain insights into the appeal of the artworks, and discover hints for appreciation, as well as to be among the first to learn about the award recipients. Enjoy a moment of encounter with new talent.
