What is "MIMOSA FESTA 2020"?

March 8th every year is designated as "International Women's Day," an international commemoration of women's liberation, and in Italy, it is called "Mimosa Day" (FESTA DELLADONNA). It is a custom to give the beautiful yellow mimosa flowers, which herald the arrival of spring and vividly color Italian towns, to people you care about or important women, with feelings of respect, gratitude, and love from men.

La Cittadella, a complex facility in Kawasaki with an "Italian" concept, has been holding events to commemorate "Mimosa Day" for over 10 years. This year, the 21st iteration, Emi Suzuki has been chosen as the muse for MIMOSA FESTA 2020. She will appear at the opening ceremony on the first day, March 7 (Sat.).

During the event period, La Cittadella will offer a variety of content, utilizing its Italian streetscape, including flower shops with various styles and a diverse market that women will enjoy. Additionally, a "flower-gifting man" will present mini mimosa bouquets to female visitors. Furthermore, the photo contest, which was very popular last year, will also be held.

Each store at "La Cittadella," the main event venue, will hold the "Mimosa Fair," an event linked to this festival, from February 15 (Sat.) to March 8 (Sun.). The "Mimosa Fair," which evokes the arrival of warm spring, will offer special menus and services in yellow, the color of mimosa. Furthermore, those who use the Mimosa Fair can participate in a mimosa lottery where they can win La Cittadella gift certificates and other prizes.

MIMOSA FESTA 2020, where everyone from children to adults can enjoy themselves in a photogenic and movielike venue unified in the vivid mimosa color "yellow." Why not experience the festival of Mimosa Day, also known as "Italy's Girls' Day"?

At each store in La Cittadella (excluding some stores), from February 15 (Sat.) to March 8 (Sun.), special menus and services inspired by the mimosa color yellow will be offered. Furthermore, those who use the "Mimosa Fair" can participate in a mimosa lottery where they can win La Cittadella gift certificates and other prizes. Customers who purchase or order from participating "Mimosa Fair" stores by March 6 (Fri.) will receive a numbered lottery ticket. The winning numbers will be announced within the La Cittadella facility on March 7 (Sat.) and 8 (Sun.), the days of MIMOSA FESTA 2020. Winners can claim their prizes at the facility information desk. At "MIMOSA FESTA," a wonderful woman who suits flowers is chosen as the muse (goddess) every year and appears at the opening ceremony. This year, the role has been given to Emi Suzuki, a top model! Dressed in mimosa yellow-themed fashion, she will take the stage on March 7 (Sat.) to discuss the importance of giving flowers and the beauty of a life surrounded by them.
