Scheduled to open in Spring 2026! DeNA's immersive experience facility "Wonderia Yokohama" releases latest information
DeNA Co., Ltd. has released the latest information, including key visuals and a dedicated smartphone app, for "Wonderia Yokohama," an immersive experience facility incorporating the concept of "edutainment" developed and operated by DeNA. The facility is scheduled to open in Spring 2026 within "BASEGATE Yokohama Kannai," a large-scale complex currently under construction in front of JR Kannai Station.
The released key visual expresses the world created by "Wonderia Yokohama," hinting at new encounters.
About Wonderia Yokohama: An Immersive Experience with Realistic Visuals
Wonderia Yokohama is an immersive experience facility that delivers encounters with wonder and mystery through realistic visuals. The facility is composed of six zones, each with a different theme, such as lush green forests and mysterious deep seas. Visitors can explore these zones and enjoy encounters with creatures and nature that are not typically experienced, through extraordinary spaces made possible by digital technology.
The six experience zones will be located on the 4th floor of the "BASEGATE Yokohama Kannai" tower, with a Wonderia Cafe and Wonderia Shop to be established on the 3rd floor. The cafe, where visitors can savor the lingering impressions of the visual spaces, and the shop, offering original merchandise, will enhance the value of the visit.
This facility aims to provide "wonder experiences" (encounters with mystery and surprise) that are worth remembering, along with opportunities to learn about biodiversity, by integrating DeNA's expertise, know-how, and technology cultivated in the entertainment field.
Developing the "Wonderia App" to Spark Curiosity
To further deepen the experience at Wonderia Yokohama, DeNA is developing a dedicated "Wonderia App" that incorporates gamification concepts cultivated in its game business. Visitors can install and launch the app, and by holding their smartphone up to a creature, they can access information about it as it appears in the visuals. Furthermore, missions that can be accomplished by finding creatures are provided, offering opportunities for learning through enjoyable exploration of the facility.
*1 A coined word combining "education" and "entertainment."
*2 In information released in November 2024, "Wonderia Yokohama" was written as "Wonderia." However, to improve readability and clarify the location, the official name is now "Wonderia Yokohama."
*3 The "Wonderia App" is scheduled to be available free of charge for smartphones from the opening day.
