He powerfully portrays the transformation of a lonely, genius programmer living in an oppressive world. The heroine is played by French actress Mélanie Thierry. A genius programmer discovers love and friendship in a closed-off world, Qohen
In a near future dominated by computers, the genius programmer Qohen lives in seclusion within a dilapidated church, attempting to solve the enigmatic equation "Zero" while awaiting a mysterious phone call that will reveal the meaning of life.
One day, Qohen is taken to a party where he meets a woman named Bainsley. Initially bewildered, Qohen finds himself drawn to Bainsley's charm. Around the same time, a friendship gradually develops with Bob, a young man who holds the secret to "Zero." Qohen's life begins to change dramatically as he discovers love and friendship within his confined world.
This is a grand drama, enveloped in Gilliam's signature satirical black humor and wit. Yet, at its core lies a universal question about "happiness" seen through the eyes of a man living in a chaotic world. It marks the birth of another brilliant work from Gilliam.
