Superior AV Equipment and Wide Seats Create a Relaxing Viewing Experience

YEBISU GARDEN CINEMA is born, inheriting the best essence of the original "Yebisu Garden Cinema" which opened with Yebisu Garden Place in 1994 and sadly closed in 2011. Catering to the sophisticated residents of this mature neighborhood, it will screen culturally rich films and evolve into a venue for diverse ODS (Other Distribution Services) content, including theater and concerts.

The design and architecture of this "cinema for adults" were handled by "Intentionallies," an architectural design firm. Their past projects range from the design of the 11th-floor sky lobby at Shibuya Hikarie to product design for brands like amadana, demonstrating their ability to work across various design domains without boundaries.

The cinema features two screens with approximately 280 seats in total. Wide seats with cup holders ensure a comfortable viewing experience. It boasts high-definition 4K digital projectors, immersive 7.1 channel surround sound, and 3D capabilities. The venue also offers a curated selection of food and beverages, including alcoholic options, to enhance the luxurious atmosphere.

The carefully selected film lineup is also a major draw. The opening film is "Café de Flore," a collaboration between actress Vanessa Paradis and Academy Award-winning director Jean-Marc Vallée. Following this, starting April 4th (Saturday), will be "Laurence Anyways," starring Isabelle Huppert.

Upcoming releases include "The Last Five Years," a cinematic adaptation of the Tony Award-winning musical; "Mommy," the latest work from Xavier Dolan, which won the Jury Prize at last year's Cannes Film Festival alongside Godard's film; and "The Zero Theorem," a near-future vision from the visionary director Terry Gilliam.

YEBISU GARDEN CINEMA offers a cinematic experience to be enjoyed alongside the vibrant city of Ebisu. We eagerly anticipate its opening.
