The story is set in April 1945, four weeks before the end of the European theater of World War II. Brad Pitt, playing the commander of "Fury," Wardaddy, delivers a soul-stirring performance as a battle-hardened warrior full of grit, yet harboring complex emotions within. The dramatic depiction focuses on the strong bond between this charismatic Wardaddy and his four subordinates, including a 18-year-old rookie.

Furthermore, director David Ayer, who has the unusual background of being a former military man, has brought to life the battle action, where the American M4 Sherman medium tank clashes with the formidable German Tiger tank, with overwhelming realism and immersion. In April 1945, the crew of the tank "Fury," led by Wardaddy (Brad Pitt), is joined by Norman (Logan Lerman), a new recruit with no combat experience.
