Photo Contest Held to Experience "The Act of Living"

Annapurna, the world's most dangerous mountain, where two out of five climbers lose their lives. The road movie "Annapurna South Face: Men at 7,400m," which follows the lives of mountaineers who gathered on the "killer mountain" risking their lives to save one man, will be released sequentially nationwide starting Saturday, September 27th, at Human Trust Cinema Yurakucho and other theaters. To commemorate the film's release, a campaign is underway inviting participants to post their favorite photos taken in the mountains or outdoors on the official Twitter account.

"Annapurna South Face: Men at 7,400m" is a non-fiction film about the men who challenged the Annapurna South Face of the Himalayas, considered the world's most dangerous route, requiring a traverse of a 7-kilometer ridge at an altitude of 7,500 meters on the path to the 8,000-meter summit.

In May 2008, veteran Spanish climber Iñaki found himself in a critical situation, suffering from altitude sickness on his way to the summit, prompting his companion, Horria, to send out an SOS. At that moment, world-renowned climbers, including Ueli Steck, who received the distress call, embarked on a rescue mission into a perilously dangerous area, prepared to risk their own lives.

Some of the photos submitted to this photo contest will be featured on the film's official Facebook page during the submission period. After the deadline, outstanding works selected for various awards will receive luxurious prizes from 10 popular brands.
