Humanity's Bravest Adventure Recreated in Astonishing 3D

The first ascent of Everest, accomplished in 1953 by New Zealand mountaineer Edmund Hillary and Nepali Sherpa Tenzing Norgay. This film dramatically portrays the event through a 3D reenactment drama, interspersed with archival footage, interviews with the climbers themselves, and actual newsreel footage.

Not only does the powerful 3D imagery draw viewers into their courageous journey, but it also delves into the climbers' inner worlds: their ambitions, fears, human endurance and courage when faced with overwhelming obstacles. It explores how they conquered their inner demons, battled the cruelty of nature, and ultimately reached the summit at 8,848 meters.

'This is Everest. Push Beyond Your Limits!'

In 1953, the summit of Mount Everest, the world's highest peak, remained unconquered. As expeditions from various nations vied for the first ascent, Britain, with Queen Elizabeth II's coronation approaching, also launched a national effort to conquer it. The ascent began on March 4th. The expedition team, led by Captain John Hunt, comprised eleven of Britain's finest mountaineers, two New Zealand climbers, and 362 porters. They embarked on the challenge to the uncharted 8,848 meters, carrying the hopes and dreams of the entire world.
