Tom Ford Calls Her His "Ideal Woman": What Is the Secret to Carine's Success?
Carine Roitfeld entered the fashion world as a model at 18, quickly gaining attention for her unique sense of style and free-spirited approach, leading her to style for Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent. From 2001, she served as the editor-in-chief of French Vogue for a decade. This film follows Roitfeld, whom Tom Ford and Karl Lagerfeld have called their "muse" and who continues to be a leading figure at 59, as it delves into her private life and chronicles the creation and launch of her new magazine, "CR Fashion Book," named after her initials, following her departure from Vogue.
While uncompromising in her work, Roitfeld declares, "Family is what matters most." The film offers a glimpse into her private life as a mother, wife, and editor, capturing moments such as the birth of her first grandchild and sharing intimate stories with her long-time partner. It explores the secrets behind her enduring radiance, balancing "work happiness" with "life happiness."
Also not to be missed are her dazzling friendships with notable figures including Tom Ford, Versace, Lagerfeld, Gaultier, Mario Testino, Kanye West, Alicia Keys, Cate Blanchett, Kirsten Dunst, and Ryuichi Sakamoto.
