River's Most Mysterious and Dangerous Role

River Phoenix collapsed on a Hollywood street due to a drug overdose on October 31, 1993. This tragedy halted the filming of his starring movie, "Dark Blood," with about 10 days of shooting remaining. However, at the end of 2007, acclaimed director George Sluizer, then 75 and diagnosed with a terminal illness, decided to resume "Dark Blood" as his final work. Overcoming various obstacles, including fundraising, resolving rights issues, and recreating unfilmed scenes, the movie was finally completed in 2012.
