Emile Hirsch and Stephen Dorff Portray a Brotherly Bond
Runaway Blues captivated audiences at the Rome Film Festival two years ago. The "brother directors" Alan Polsky and Gabriel Polsky, who made their feature film debut with this work, have now expressed the love and bond between brothers, enlisting timely Hollywood actors.
Starring Emile Hirsch from Milk (2008) as the gentle and sensitive younger brother, Frank, and Stephen Dorff as the clumsy but devoted older brother, Jerry Lee. This unique cast has woven a new story of brothers that resonates deeply with viewers. Dakota Fanning plays Annie, Frank's girlfriend and the film's heroine, portraying with fresh vitality a young woman forced into an undesirable life due to poverty.
Notably, the film features the iconic song "Girl from the North Country" by Bob Dylan & Johnny Cash, and blues music flows throughout the entire soundtrack. Furthermore, the brothers' imaginative adventures are brought to life as animated sequences within the film, adding a rich layer of imagination.
Younger Brother Frank Decides to Flee After His Older Brother Causes a Traffic Accident
Frank and Jerry Lee, who suffers from the aftereffects of an injury sustained in childhood, were raised as orphans but share an unbreakable bond. The older brother, Jerry Lee, illustrates the thrilling adventure tales spun by his younger brother, Frank, allowing them to laugh through their bleak and prospectless daily lives together.
One day, Jerry Lee causes a traffic accident, and the brothers flee to the town where Frank's former lover, Annie, lives. Frank and Annie, who loved each other but parted ways after a certain incident, are reunited. Annie embraces Frank with her unchanging love and kindness.
Jerry Lee encourages Frank, who still longs for Annie, to "take a step forward." However, Jerry Lee's leg injury begins to worsen,—.
Will Frank be able to win back Annie's love and find happiness with Jerry Lee? This film brings a fresh perspective to the many stories about brothers that have been told before. The bond of mutual care and affection will stir the hearts of viewers.
