A Show at the Pinnacle of Modern Culture
Founded in 1951, Crazy Horse has been a central fixture of Parisian culture for over half a century. Its shows, which transcend mere eroticism to become innovative works of art, captivate celebrities and countless others.
Crazy Horse, which has always championed the idea that "art is constant change," invited Christian Louboutin as its first-ever guest artist in 2012. For Louboutin, who began designing high heels inspired by the beauty of the Crazy Horse dancers, this was a return to his roots.
At Louboutin's insistence, the music for the show was composed by the visionary David Lynch, a filmmaker, painter, and musician whose unique talents continue to mesmerize the world. Thus, the pinnacle of 21st-century modern culture converged to give birth to "Fire."
An Eternal Life for an "80-Day Illusion"
The world was captivated by this show of the century. A encore was strongly desired, but the promise of a limited 80-night run was upheld, leaving it to be remembered as a legend.
And to bestow eternal life upon this "80-day illusion," "Fire by Louboutin" was completed. Directed by Bruno Yülan, a 3D filming specialist who directed and supervised the 2010 FIFA World Cup 3D live broadcast, the film was shot in a massive 1300-square-meter studio with the team behind "Pina/Pina Bausch: Dancing Dreams" (2011), which pioneered a new genre of 3D art films with its focus on dancer Pina Bausch.
The show was reconstructed for the film, allowing for perspectives of the stage unseen from the actual audience. Furthermore, the camera work, which zoomed in to an extreme degree, capturing the dancers' breaths, muscle movements, and even the heat of their skin, created an unprecedented sense of power, drawing viewers into the performance. Christian Louboutin himself also appears, revealing the secrets behind his direction and sharing his 20 years of passion for shoe design.
Filmed exclusively for the movie and enhanced by the immersive quality of 3D, the performance unfolds with beauty, allure, elegance, and dynamism.
