This ambitious work, "Violet & Daisy," is the directorial debut of Geoffrey Fletcher, who won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for "Precious" in 2010, based on his own script.



Saoirse Ronan, who became an overnight star after being nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at the young age of 13 for "Atonement," plays Daisy, while Alexis Bledel, popular as an actress and model for her roles in "Sin City" and "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants," plays Violet. With these two rising Hollywood actresses in a double-starring role, a unique lolita violence action film, a modern take on "Thelma & Louise," has been born.

The supporting cast is also not to be missed, featuring acclaimed actors such as the recently and sadly deceased James Gandolfini, Danny Trejo, and Marianne Jean-Baptiste.

Violet and Daisy are teenage hitwomen in New York who only take on convenient jobs. One day, the two casually accept a hit request, simply because they want the new dresses of their idol, "Barbie Sunday."

Their target is a suspicious man who stole a perfume truck and called them himself, revealing his address, phone number, and name. What should have been an easy job turns into a desperate situation when the target is not what they expected, forcing the two to take a dangerous gamble.—.
