Approaching the "Truth" of the Charisma Who Changed the World
Steve Jobs, the charismatic figure who transformed the world with innovations like the Macintosh, iPad, and iPhone. "Jobs" is the first cinematic portrayal of his life since his passing. The film, which garnered significant attention for Ashton Kutcher's uncanny resemblance and performance, is finally set for its theatrical release in Japan.
He captivated people's hearts, creating hit product after hit product, amassing immense wealth and fame. Yet, his intense personality also created many enemies, ultimately leading to his ousting from the very company he founded. This film delves into the truths that only he could see, amidst a cycle of success and setbacks.
Jobs, Creating Enemies and Becoming Isolated Due to His Intense Personality
"You're brilliant. But you're a jerk." Steve Jobs, who as a young man was told such things by his superiors, founded Apple Computer in 1976 in his parents' garage with a few like-minded misfits. New products were released to great success one after another. Within just four years, the company went public, and Jobs achieved wealth and fame.
However, Jobs, who insisted only on his own ideas – firing employees on the spot for disagreeing, openly challenging Bill Gates, and treating even the founding members coldly – gradually became isolated. Eventually, even Wozniak, one of the few founding members, left his side. In his solitude, Jobs became engrossed in development, disregarding budgets, and faced the unexpected situation of being expelled from the company.
Facing the greatest setback of his life, what bold and innovative vision did Jobs see?—.
