The latest work and "final theatrical film" from Steven Soderbergh, one of America's leading film directors, will be released nationwide on Friday, September 6th, at TOHO Cinemas Miyukiza and other theaters.

A Star-Studded Cast Adorns His Farewell Film



At just 26 years old, he won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival for his feature debut "Sex, Lies, and Videotape" (1989), the youngest recipient in history. He later won the Academy Award for Best Director for "Traffic" (2000). Without resting on his laurels, director Steven Soderbergh has consistently released ambitious, experimental works such as the "Ocean's" series.

This auteur, respected by many filmmakers and watched by the world, has stated that he will step away from theatrical film production after this work to focus on television and other projects. His final work is a Hitchcockian psychological thriller centered on a bizarre murder case committed by a young woman.

The "farewell film" is graced by a stellar cast. Jude Law plays the protagonist, psychiatrist Banks. He delivers a powerful performance, portraying the inner conflict of a sincere family man who becomes captivated by a mysterious female patient. Rooney Mara, a rising young actress, plays Emily, the "femme fatale" who seduces Banks. The supporting cast includes Catherine Zeta-Jones and Channing Tatum, among others.

Emily, a Young Wife, Kills Her Husband Due to Drug Side Effects



At 28 years old, Emily Taylor's life was thrown from the height of happiness into the depths of despair when her beloved husband, Martin, was imprisoned for insider trading. Her life was expected to improve upon Martin's release, but Emily, who had developed depression during his absence, attempted suicide multiple times.

Dr. Banks, feeling pity for Emily, prescribes a new drug called "Abilixa." However, due to the medication's side effects, she becomes a sleepwalker and murders Martin in her sleep at home. Banks finds himself in a critical situation, facing accusations for his role as the attending physician and risking his career and family life. He launches his own investigation, delving into the shocking truth behind this sensational murder case.──.



Her earnest desire to simply regain happiness and save a troubled patient. The murder, with its seemingly inexplicable motive, twists the situation, drawing in those involved and the media as events spiral in an unpredictable direction.
