Starring Sam Worthington from "Avatar" and "Clash of the Titans," this non-stop action-suspense film comes from the production staff of "Transformers." The Blu-ray & DVD of "Man on a Ledge," a movie said to make you want to watch it again once you know the twist, is finally released.
Sam Worthington stars as Nick. His powerful performance, despite his acrophobia, as he stands on a ledge 60 meters above the ground is a highlight. Elizabeth Banks from "The Next Three Days" plays his negotiator, Lydia Mercer, and Jamie Bell from "Billy Elliot" plays Nick's brother. The cast is rounded out by seasoned actors like Ed Harris.
Produced by hitmakers Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian, known for action blockbusters like the "Transformers" series. Directed by Asger Leth, who makes his feature film debut after a career in documentaries, the film utilizes special crane cameras to deliver thrilling realism and a sense of immediacy.
An Elaborate Plan Unfolds Behind a Faked Suicide
New York City, morning. Nick, imprisoned for embezzling 3 billion yen in diamonds but having escaped to prove his innocence, checks into a prestigious Madison Avenue hotel. He proceeds to his 21st-floor room and steps out onto the ledge of the building, a mere 35 centimeters wide, 60 meters above the street.
Below, a crowd of TV crews and onlookers has gathered, anticipating the shocking moment of his supposed leap. Nick designates Lydia Mercer as his negotiator to convey his demands. She begins to persuade Nick, but as time ticks away, she cannot ascertain his demands or the reason for his precarious position.
However, this is all part of Nick's grand plan to prove his innocence. His brother Joey and girlfriend Angie infiltrate the seemingly impenetrable security to retrieve the diamonds that will clear his name. With the clock ticking, can Nick prove his innocence?—.
