'Silver Linings Playbook': A Human Comedy
Silver Linings Playbook, a story of healing and redemption for two individuals grappling with loss, opens nationwide on Friday, February 22nd, at TOHO Cinemas Chanter and other theaters. In anticipation, OPENERS is offering an exclusive invitation to a premiere screening on Thursday, January 24th, at 6:45 PM at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills. The event is expected to feature star Bradley Cooper.

Winner of the Audience Award at the Toronto International Film Festival—an honor often considered on par with an Academy Award—'Silver Linings Playbook' has become the most talked-about film of the year. This human comedy, which humorously depicts two people rebuilding their lives, is finally set for its Japanese release.
The film stars Bradley Cooper of 'The Hangover' series. Jennifer Lawrence, acclaimed for her role in the global hit 'The Hunger Games,' plays the spirited heroine, with veteran actor Robert De Niro and others in supporting roles. The film is directed and written by David O. Russell, known for his philosophical comedies 'I Heart Huckabees' and 'The Fighter.'
Their Journey to Reclaim Hope in Life
Pat, having lost his wife, his home, his job, and his emotional balance, finds himself adrift. He encounters Tiffany, a neighbor whose seemingly charming demeanor belies her erratic behavior and blunt pronouncements, which often leave Pat bewildered. However, Tiffany too carries the weight of her own grief, having lost her husband in an accident.
To cope, Tiffany decides to enter a dance competition and forcefully recruits Pat as her partner. Thus begins their shared endeavor to find a glimmer of hope in their lives.
While life may not come with a playbook, this heartwarming film assures us that giving our best can lead to a brighter future, blending laughter and tears. It's a cinematic experience that refreshingly defies convention.
