An Academy Award-Winning Director Delivers Thrilling Action
Tom Cruise embodies his most dangerous and wild outlaw hero to date.—Based on the hardboiled novels by British author Lee Child, beloved worldwide, this film features Tom Cruise in a role he's never played before: a drifter and former military man, which he portrays with full commitment.
Directed and written by Christopher McQuarrie, known for his Oscar-winning screenplay for 'The Usual Suspects' and 'Valkyrie,' the film showcases his talent in action sequences, including car chases that eschew CGI and editing tricks. Furthermore, Paula Wagner, the acclaimed producer of 'The Last Samurai' and 'War of the Worlds,' and a former partner of Cruise, has joined to support his new cinematic journey.
The cast includes the accomplished Rosamund Pike, Robert Duvall, and Richard Jenkins. Adding to the intrigue, the menacing figure lurking behind the conspiracy is portrayed by Werner Herzog, the German director and actor revered by filmmakers globally.
Jack Reacher Uncovers the Terrifying Truth Hidden in the Shadows of the Case
In the suburbs of Pittsburgh, six shots are fired in broad daylight, killing five seemingly random people. Within an hour, police arrest a former military sniper, James Barr, as the suspect. However, Barr denies the charges and demands to be contacted by Jack Reacher, a man feared even within the military.
Why does Barr need Reacher? Amidst these swirling questions, Barr is attacked by other inmates during transport to prison and falls into a coma. Just as the crucial information from Reacher seems lost, Jack Reacher suddenly appears. He points out that the skilled sniper Barr would never miss a target, and Reacher begins to suspect something is amiss. He then delves into uncovering the terrifying truth hidden within this seemingly simple case!
