Celebrities Gather at Ca’ Corner De La Regina

The 12th installment of MIU MIU's short film project was helmed by American filmmaker Crystal Moselle, who won the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival for her documentary "The Wolfpack," about a family that homeschooled their seven children.




The short film, titled "THAT ONE DAY," explores the theme of "adolescence." "I'm endlessly fascinated by adolescence in a woman's life. That period between not quite a girl and not yet a woman," Moselle explained.—In "THAT ONE DAY," adolescence is depicted as a fragile, fleeting moment, reminiscent of a daydream.

The film portrays skaters, who embrace their femininity and face the harsh realities of young womanhood without fear, in a serene slow motion. "When I was in the midst of my own adolescence, Miu Miu was a significant presence in my story of growing from a girl into a woman," Moselle continued.

The 12th installment of the short film project, "THAT ONE DAY," was presented on Thursday, September 1st, at Giornate degli Autori, part of the Venice Days program at the Venice Film Festival.




To commemorate the premiere, Miuccia Prada hosted a dinner party on the same day, inviting Crystal Moselle, the film's director; Sakura Ando, who starred in the 11th installment, "SEED," directed by Japanese filmmaker Naomi Kawase; as well as Naomi Watts, Dakota Fanning, and other distinguished guests from the film industry.

The event took place at Ca’ Corner De La Regina, an exhibition space of the Prada Foundation housed in a historic Venetian palazzo, and was a resounding success.
