The Documentary 'Steak Revolution'
To find the most delicious steak in the world, a documentary titled 'Steak Revolution,' which journeys through over 200 steakhouses in 20 countries, arrives in Japan. Starting October 17 (Saturday), it will be released sequentially across the country at YEBISU GARDEN CINEMA, 109 Cinemas Futako-Tamagawa, and others.

Steak, a dish prepared with the simple method of grilling meat, can vary dramatically in flavor depending on the quality of the meat and the cooking technique. 'Steak Revolution' arrives, guided by the owner of 'Paris's Best Butcher,' as they explore renowned and unknown steakhouses in pursuit of the ultimate steak.
The film is directed by Franck Ribière, who also hails from a Charolais cattle breeding farm, a pride of France. This marks his directorial debut in documentary filmmaking.
The guide for this global steak journey is Yves-Marie Le Bourdonnec, owner of Le Couteau d'Argent and a "master of meat," recognized as "Paris's Best Butcher" by L'Express magazine. With a discerning eye and palate that even French culinary master Joël Robuchon relies on for his meat purchases, he determines the world's top 10 steaks.
How Is Delicious Beef Produced?
To unravel the mystery of how delicious beef is produced, director Franck Ribière embarked on a two-year journey with his favorite butcher, Yves-Marie Le Bourdonnec, in search of "the most delicious steak."
Along the way, they encountered innovative key figures in the global meat industry. Simultaneously, the pair dined at over 200 steakhouses in 20 countries. What they discovered were unexpected obstacles standing in the way of those trying to carve out new markets.
This film offers a glimpse into the little-known world behind the meat that captivates so many. Yet, what is even more enchanting are the sounds of juicy steaks sizzling, and Mr. Le Bourdonnec's face as he savors each bite.
