The original book, 'Wild' (1600 Kilometers to Meet Myself) by Cheryl Strayed, recounts her journey along the Pacific Crest Trail, a 1,600-kilometer path from the Mexican to the Canadian border. By walking, she confronted her past, which had been shattered by her mother's death, divorce, and drug use. The book became a bestseller, resetting her life as an author, and has since been published in over 30 countries.

Cheryl, pushing forward despite her body's protests, confronts herself
After the death of her beloved mother, Cheryl spirals into drug abuse and a failed marriage. One day, she decides to embark on a challenging journey to reclaim the person her mother would have been proud of, resolving to start anew.
However, for Cheryl, who has no prior training, walking the Pacific Crest Trail—a natural hiking trail stretching from the Mexican to the Canadian border—is an arduous task. Shortly after starting, she regrets her decision, thinking, 'What a foolish thing I've done.'
Her body screams in pain, and she endures sleepless nights fearing wild animals. Yet, over three months and 1,600 kilometers, Cheryl continues to confront herself. What does she witness? And what landscape unfolds after she completes the journey?
This is a story that resonates with the doubts and loneliness we all carry. It encourages us to accept our flaws and find the strength to move forward in pursuit of hope.
