John Curran Directs the Film Adaptation of a Global Bestseller
"Tracks" is a road movie based on the unconventional adventure of a real-life woman, Robyn Davidson. The film is an adaptation of Davidson's own memoir, "Tracks: One Woman's Journey Across the Australian Outback," which became a global bestseller and was also reported in "National Geographic" at the time.
The film is directed by John Curran, who is based in Australia. The production team also includes the duo of Iain Canning and Emile Sherman, known for their work on "The King's Speech."
Starring Mia Wasikowska, an Australian native known for her roles in films such as "Alice in Wonderland", she delivers a compelling performance as a relatable woman growing through her journey. Adam Driver, who will appear in the highly anticipated "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" later this year, plays the photographer Rick. Additionally, Loene Carmen, an Aboriginal elder, plays a pivotal role, bringing Robin new joy and discovery.
