Born in May 2020 amidst the pandemic as Japan's first "municipality-approved" virtual space, "Virtual Shibuya" has since hosted events like Halloween festivals, attracting a cumulative 450,000 participants. Continuing its momentum, "Virtual Shibuya au 5G X’mas" will be held from December 20 (Sun) to 25 (Fri). The virtual space and special website will feature daily events with special guests, alongside a luxurious Christmas giveaway with prizes like Finnair tickets, ANA travel vouchers, and SHIBUYA SKY admission tickets.

The keyword for "Virtual Shibuya au 5G X’mas" is "#StayTogether." A 42.8-meter Christmas tree, the tallest in Japan, will be erected in the venue, serving as an ideal photo spot. Visitors can even ascend to its base, adorned with ornaments, to enjoy the view of the scramble crossing. The event also offers a space for everyone to enjoy, including the creation of Christmas-themed avatars.

December 20 (Sun): Talk Show with Chinatsu Wakatsuki and YOU

The opening event will feature Chinatsu Wakatsuki as MC, with YOU and Tomoyuki Tanaka (FPM) as guests, broadcast live on YouTube. They will share personal anecdotes about "Christmas" and "gifts," and also address viewer questions on "various love troubles."
Additionally, the music video for "Here Forever," a new song written for "Virtual Shibuya" by the acclaimed emerging singer-songwriter Emma Walin, will have its premiere. A special remix version by Tomoyuki Tanaka (FPM) exclusively for "Virtual Shibuya" will also be released simultaneously. At the end of the talk show, YOU and Wakatsuki will each present their "gifts" for the event's theme. Those who post on social media with the designated hashtag between December 20 (Sun) and 25 (Fri) will have a chance to win.

Popular NHK programs gather in Virtual Shibuya. Chiko-chan from "Chiko-chan's Punishment!", legendary rock star Yokoyamann from "Bit World," and Gen-ta and Beni-o, the TV Warriors from "Tensai Terebi-kun hello,", will present a special Christmas stage. A one-night-only virtual live performance will feature Chiko-chan's debut song "Shikaretakai!" (I Want to Be Scolded!), Yokoyamann's Christmas songs, a segment where TV Warriors' dreams come true, and Chiko-chan's simple questions about Shibuya.
