Crafted by a Long-Standing Confectionery Premium Ice Cream Abundantly Made with Ripe Fruits and Select Ingredients
POIRE des rois GINZA, a premium ice cream specialty store opened in December 2018 by the long-standing confectionery POIRE, is a Ginza-based establishment.
They offer ice cream made with generous amounts of carefully selected, first-class ripe fruits and ingredients from across Japan.
After hollowing out fresh fruits and turning them into rich ice cream, the fruit peels are used as containers to serve the ice cream. It's characterized by not only its deliciousness but also its visual appeal and beauty.
Their lineup includes "Pomme" (apple), melon, pineapple, and Setouchi lemon, with seasonal offerings such as Miyazaki mango, Sato Nishiki cherries, and Shimizu white peaches.
POIRE des rois GINZA has now relocated and opened an online virtual shop. In line with the recent trend of DX (Digital Transformation), they aim to provide a new experience connecting producers of excellent agricultural products with consumers through technology.
By 3D scanning the physical store, it's possible to have a shopping experience in the virtual space as if you were actually there. You can easily order ice cream from all over Japan.

The virtual shop, rebuilt in 3D, is designed to be an elegant space, just like the physical store. Digital signage will display videos showcasing the beautiful landscapes of the producing farms, the harvesting process, and the meticulous craftsmanship involved in the patisserie's production.
Regarding this virtual shop, Grand Chef Yoshiki Tsujii commented, "Amidst the ongoing pandemic since last year, we have been contemplating daily what the new normal is for the Western confectionery and sweets market, and how we should change and evolve."
It was in this context that we arrived at launching a virtual shop and relocating the Ginza store online into that space.
While DX (Digital Transformation) is a buzzword these days, we believed that a virtual shop would allow us to convey not only our commitment to our products, which cannot be fully communicated in a physical store, but also our relentless pursuit of quality.
Furthermore, with the cooperation of the farmers we work with, we intend to convey the conditions of their production sites and their beautiful environments through video.
"Although our brand originated in Ginza, by going online, we can welcome customers from all over the country. We will provide a new customer experience to deliver our products to a wider range of customers," he added.
