AMAN TOKYO has revamped its pastry gift line, relaunching it as the AMAN TOKYO original gift box "KOBAKO" on Friday, November 1, 2019. Additionally, a limited-edition "KOBAKO Festive Gift Box" will be available from Sunday, December 1, to Wednesday, December 25.

AMAN TOKYO's original baked treats have been renewed. Overseeing this is Executive Pastry Chef Hisayoshi Miyakawa, known for his original and elegant "Black Afternoon Tea" at The Lounge by AMAN, which draws inspiration from the color black.

A distinctive feature is the ability to design your own gift by freely combining the square, petite boxes. Inspired by traditional Japanese "wairo" (traditional colors), the three box colors can be arranged in auspicious checkerboard patterns or combined like a puzzle, allowing for selection while keeping the recipient in mind.

The baked treats themselves also feature more carefully selected ingredients. The pistachio-infused madeleine is crafted to allow the full flavor of its ingredients to be savored, while the pound cake uses Pamplie butter from the Poitou-Charentes region of France. Three varieties are available: vanilla, citron with hints of yuzu and lemon, and a seasonal chestnut & caramel flavor for this winter. Additionally, dragees, a symbol of good fortune in Europe, are also part of the lineup.

The "KOBAKO Festive Gift Box," available from Sunday, December 1, to Wednesday, December 25, features colors that evoke Christmas while still being rooted in "wairo." It promises to be a delightful gift for those you wish to thank or as a token for holiday gatherings.
