Taste Paris's "Best Bakery" Croissants and Baguettes Right Here in Tokyo
Maison Landemaine was founded in Paris in 2006 by baker and entrepreneur Yoshimi Ishikawa and entrepreneur and patissier Rodolphe Landemaine. Since its opening, the bakery has expanded by one location each year, now operating eight shops within Paris.
In 2011, it was named "Paris's Best Bakery" by the Parisian gourmet guide Pudlo, and in 2013, Figaro magazine ranked its croissants third among "Paris's Most Delicious Croissants." The establishment enjoys immense popularity among Parisians.
The secret to its popular baked goods lies in a commitment to preserving traditional methods and techniques. They use their own natural yeast and employ a slow, long fermentation process at low temperatures. Particularly lauded are their hard-crusted breads, rich with the aroma of wheat, and their croissants, crafted with carefully layered French butter and other select butters, boasting a rich fragrance and a melt-in-your-mouth texture.
The new Maison Landemaine Tokyo will also offer lunch on weekdays and brunch on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Dishes are prepared using organic vegetables sourced directly from farmers in Gunma, ensuring safe, healthy, and delicious meals and breads. The interior, much like its Parisian counterparts, offers a modern and stylish ambiance. Approximately 60 seats are available, including a warm, inviting indoor space perfect for adults to relax, as well as terrace seating.
On opening day, starting at 10 AM, 200 units of the signature "Freshly Baked Baguette," which sells 2,000-2,500 units daily in Paris, will be given away to welcome visitors. The brand plans to expand into other European regions like the UK and Germany, as well as Asian countries. We eagerly anticipate experiencing the renowned breads and dishes from this globally anticipated bakery and patisserie.
