Michalak Chocolates by Christophe Michalak Make Their Japanese Debut

The Playful Spirit of a Star Pastry Chef

Christophe Michalak, former head pastry chef at the prestigious Plaza Athénée and a winner of the Coupe du Monde with the French team, later opened his own boutique, "MICHALAK TAKE AWAY," in Paris. His creations, offering the exquisite taste of a coveted high-end patisserie in an accessible format, have captured global attention and have now finally arrived in Japan.

Barneys New York has exclusively procured these previously unavailable "Michalak" chocolates for distribution across its five nationwide stores. The new Valentine's Day collection features two distinct items: the "K7 AUDIO Cassette Tape" (pictured above, ¥3,024 each), a bar chocolate designed to resemble a cassette tape, and the "KLAKETTE Flip-Flop" (¥4,104), which recreates a flip-flop, complete with sand made of nuts. Both are available in six flavors: black chocolate, milk chocolate, caramel milk chocolate, yuzu, pistachio, and vanilla.
