The Season of Strawberries Has Arrived Again! Grand Hyatt Tokyo Presents an Abundance of Strawberry-Themed Afternoon Tea, Sweets, and Cocktails
From Monday, January 6, 2020, Grand Hyatt Tokyo will feature desserts made with seasonal strawberries, as well as strawberry-themed afternoon tea and sweets.
Strawberry Sweets Featuring Fresh Strawberries in Vibrant Red
The strawberry season has returned once more. Grand Hyatt Tokyo is unveiling a lineup of strawberry-inspired menus across its various restaurants and cafes.
At the all-day dining restaurant "French Kitchen," the "Strawberry Afternoon Tea Buffet" will be held until Sunday, March 15. The buffet features a strawberry-centric spread, including a tiramisu layered with strawberry jelly made from Marsala wine and mascarpone from Sicily, Italy, and a pound cake with strawberry pâte de fruits.
Additionally, a chef will perform a tableside flambé of berry sauce with Grand Marnier for each guest, to be enjoyed with warm crepes.
The savory selection includes five items, such as brioche topped with smoked salmon and beets, and bruschetta with tomatoes, basil, and fresh strawberries marinated in olive oil. Tea selections include options from the Los Angeles-based premium organic tea brand "ART OF TEA."
Fiorentina Pastry Boutique
At "Fiorentina Pastry Boutique" on the first floor, the pastry team led by award-winning chefs presents "Strawberry Chocolates." This offering features a tasting of three types of domestic strawberries, carefully selected each season, paired with six kinds of chocolate. Additionally, three types of glass desserts, showcasing the vibrant color of fresh strawberries, and a strawberry version of the hotel's signature "Grand Premium Shortcake" will be available.
Fiorentina
The Italian cafe "Fiorentina" on the first floor introduces "Calzone," a "warm and cold" dessert. It features strawberries and mascarpone with strawberry ganache, encased in a chewy homemade pizza dough, baked, and served with pistachio ice cream.
Maduro
At "Maduro," a chic bar and jazz lounge for adults where time flows luxuriously, three types of cocktails are prepared using homemade puree from the large "Skyberry" variety. These cocktails, with their sweet and tart flavors reminiscent of eating fresh strawberries, are a perennial favorite among women.
During this period, the hotel's restaurants are bathed in a strawberry hue. We invite you to fully savor these menus that highlight the deliciousness of the season.
