He has now compiled 20 years of concepts and ideas, meticulously recorded in campus notebooks, into a single volume titled "Jun Aoki Notebook," released by Heibonsha.

Jun Aoki's work spans a wide spectrum, from private residences and public buildings to commercial spaces and even the creation of artworks. His constant companion, the KOKUYO A4 notebook, serves as his canvas for ideas. These range from the earliest jottings to detailed sketches brimming with concepts.
This publication completely reproduces 104 notebooks, spanning 20 years from April 1, 1992, to November 22, 2012. It encompasses not only realized projects but also numerous competition entries and unbuilt designs, along with memos for manuscripts and fragments of ideas, all arranged chronologically. The book traces the evolution of his creative process, revealing the trial and error inherent in his work.
