Exploring the Creative Process of Architect Waro Kishi
The "Architecture Lecture Series 217 [nie - ichi - nana]" invites a guest speaker each time, with architects Ryuchi Ashizawa and Takayoshi Hiranuma serving as the main speakers. The series explores their architectural philosophies, methods, approaches, and even the origins of their commissions through stimulating talk sessions.
Launched in fiscal year 2010, this initiative aims to foster vibrant discussions, drawing out the originality of each architect while being mindful of the unique characteristics of the Osaka region. It serves as a platform for exchange among architects and an opportunity for inspiration for younger designers.
For the final session of fiscal year 2011, architect Waro Kishi will be the guest. As the designer of the Interoffice Osaka showroom, the venue for this lecture, Kishi, who is based in Kyoto and works internationally, will reflect on his past projects, offering insights into his design process and architectural philosophy.
