VINCENT and MIA, a select shop based in Hiroshima, will host the lifestyle lecture series "ONE PLUS ONE (1+1) conference," centered around film, on Saturday, September 21st, at the Hatchoza cinema in Hiroshima City. Tomoki Sukema, a familiar face to OPENERS readers, andShuya Okinowill appear again this year, with a diverse range of content unfolding throughout the cinema.

This year's theme is "Film"
Offering a blend of entertainment and learning from the unique perspective of a select shop,following its debut last autumn at a long-established Japanese restaurantthe "ONE PLUS ONE (1+1) conference" returns this year. The second iteration will take place at Hatchoza, a cinema known for its distinctive approach to the theme of "Hiroshima's Strength," focusing on film as its central theme.
The venue will utilize its entire space, including two large and small theaters, the lobby, and cafe areas, to host simultaneous events. Through the lens of various films, Tomoki Sukema will present a styling lecture that highlights new perspectives and values, followed by a party from 23:00 where Shuya Okino will serve as DJ.

Additionally, the venue will screen analog film prints of "Battles Without Honor and Humanity," celebrating its 40th anniversary since its first release, and the documentary "Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has to Travel," about the legendary editor who reigned at the center of American fashion for 50 years.
The "ONE PLUS ONE (1+1) conference" also features the customary best styling contest, along with booths offering ample food and drinks. This event, serving as both a cultural lecture and a sophisticated social gathering, promises encounters with diverse people and ideas, fostering new learning experiences.
