Hasegawa Saketen Opens Futako-Tamagawa Store

Hello, I'm Koichi Hasegawa, the owner of Hasegawa Saketen. On March 19th, we opened our Futako-Tamagawa store in the newly upgraded Futako-Tamagawa Rise, a testament to the area's redevelopment. Our shop, approximately 30 tsubo (about 100 sq meters), is located on the B1 floor of the shopping center, within Tokyu Food Show. Our entire staff is excited to introduce stylish Japanese sake in this popular commercial facility. We hope you'll visit.

Introducing Hasegawa Saketen's Stores

Our main store, 'Honten,' is located in Koto Ward's Kameido 1-chome, famous for the Katori Shrine. We originally operated quietly in a backstreet shopping area, diagonally across from Sunamachi Ginza, one of Tokyo's busiest shopping streets. About seven years ago, needing more space, we relocated our main store to Kameido, where we had been using a distribution center. We are now open year-round, including New Year's Day.

About six years ago, we established our second store, 'Azabu-Juban Ten,' in Minato Ward's Azabu-Juban, not far from Roppongi Hills. Last year, this store also relocated to a more bustling main street.
During the Azabu-Juban Summer Festival, which has become a summer tradition in Tokyo, we offer sake for a small fee, with help from the younger members of Wajo Waraku. It's a lively street fair where you can often spot celebrities due to the location. Why not come and experience it this summer?

Our third store is the 'Omotesando Hills Ten.' We renewed our contract with Mori Building this year and aim to further enhance its value as a hub for promoting Japanese sake.

Our fourth store is the 'GranSta Ten' at JR Tokyo Station. Within this commercial facility, serving as Japan's and Tokyo's gateway, we leverage our prime location to strongly promote Japanese sake. It's also enjoyable to have a quick drink at the bar counter before your journey.

Furthermore, although not a retail store, Hasegawa Saketen operates a restaurant, 'Shutei Shuyu,' next to Roppongi Midtown. The name was borrowed from the family name of Mr. Teraoka of Isomiso Shuzo, also a member of Wajo Waraku. Here, you can enjoy a rotating selection of fine sakes, including Isomiso. It's a casual izakaya, so please come and visit.

In the UK, near London, we have established Hasegawa Saketen UK. While active since last year, it is not a retail shop but primarily a branch for restaurants. We are considering a retail shop in a different location in the future.

Additionally, in the spring of next year, 2012, we plan to open a new store in the commercial facilities of Tokyo Skytree. Here too, we will promote Japanese sake to people worldwide. We look forward to your anticipation.

This year, we are planning an event for general consumers at Roppongi Hills in April, inviting sake breweries from Wajo Waraku to participate. In May, we will hold a sake tasting event for restaurant professionals at Roppongi Hills, an event that many of you attended last year. We also plan to hold a sake tasting event in London, timed for early summer. We are also scheduled to participate in the annual event in Rome, Italy, and following our visit to Shanghai last year for the New Year's trade, we intend to visit Russia this year.

While a solid business in Kameido would be ideal, we will continue to challenge ourselves with each store and initiative to promote Japanese sake and Hasegawa Saketen as widely as possible!!
