Presenting 'Roger Vivier – Icons Connected'
Parisian luxury accessories maison Roger Vivier will present 'Roger Vivier – Icons Connected,' a retrospective exhibition looking back at the maison's history through its precious archives, from Wednesday, March 18th to Tuesday, March 24th at Matsuya Ginza.

The World of Roger Vivier Explored Through Five Chapters
This retrospective exhibition, 'Roger Vivier – Icons Connected,' looks back at the maison's journey through the illustrious history of legendary shoemaker Roger Vivier and current Creative Director Bruno Frisoni, as well as the themes that symbolize the maison.
Roger Vivier, who fulfilled the dreams of many women with his fantastical imagination, became instantly famous with the buckle pumps 'Belle Vivier' that adorned Catherine Deneuve's feet in the 1967 film 'Belle de Jour.' Bruno Frisoni, appointed Creative Director in 2004, works to elevate the 'Vivier code' with a modern sensibility, including adding contemporary interpretations to iconic models such as the Belle Vivier.
This exhibition will present the maison's worldview across five chapters, told as a story, featuring precious archives such as a replica of shoes designed for Queen Elizabeth II's coronation in 1953, framed collages created by Roger Vivier, and the evolution of buckle shoes from 1965 to the present day.
Additionally, QR codes will be displayed within the venue, allowing for a virtual appreciation of Roger Vivier's shoes. Furthermore, a limited edition 'Miss Viv' designed exclusively for Matsuya Ginza to commemorate this retrospective exhibition will be specially displayed and sold at the venue.
