New Women's Collection "NikeLab × sacai Collection" First Drop
The collaboration line "NikeLab × sacai" between NIKE and sacai designer Chitose Abe, which we reported on earlier, is finally here. The first collection will be available worldwide, and in Japan, it will be released on Wednesday, March 25th at NIKE.COM/NikeLab, NikeLab DSM GINZA, and sacai's flagship store in Aoyama. Additionally, a pop-up store will be held from Wednesday, March 25th to Tuesday, March 31st at Isetan Shinjuku Store 1F The Stage.

A New Era of Sport Style
Born from a shared passion for innovation and bold style expression between NIKE and sacai, classic sports icons have been transformed into functional, hybrid forms with a sporty essence in the new women's collection "NikeLab × sacai," which is finally unveiled.
Chitose Abe of sacai, known for her unconventional aesthetic, selected pieces from Nike's archives in running, tennis, and American football. She has reinterpreted Nike's traditional sportswear silhouettes with a feminine and contemporary perspective.
Five sacai-esque Styles Born from Tech Fleece
"Just as material innovation is always at the heart of sacai, functionality is very important to me. For me, Nike is the original icon with functionality and innovation at its core. Working together was very stimulating," Abe says.
Abe focused particularly on Tech Fleece, Nike's most iconic material innovation. Using two types of different thicknesses, she has applied it to five sacai-style pieces: a crew sweatshirt, a crew hooded sweatshirt, a crew top, a crew knee-length dress, and sweatpants.
Designs That Surprise When in Motion
Nike's design philosophy of "celebrating the body in motion" aligns with sacai's vision. "NikeLab × sacai" utilizes Abe's unique sense of balance, transforming a classic Windrunner into a new pleated design that extends into a skirt, while a hooded sweatshirt reveals its full form only when in motion with its peplum detail.
The full collection consists of eight items: Tech Fleece Crew, Zip-up Tech Fleece, Hooded Sweatshirt, Windrunner Skirt, Sports Skirt, Graphic Tee, Tech Fleece Dress, Back-zip Tech Fleece Crew Top, and Tech Fleece Pants. A notable feature is the bold, Nike-esque color palette used throughout the collection.
The Unique Slip-On "NikeLab × sacai Air Max 90"
Furthermore, embodying the collection's themes of expressiveness and freedom of movement, the unique slip-on "NikeLab × sacai Air Max 90" is also introduced. Crafted entirely from leather, the elasticated tongue utilizes Fuse technology for comfort. It features a distinctive wedge-like appearance in the midsole and is available in Obsidian-Black, Volt-Obsidian, and Wolf Grey colorways.
The second drop of the "NikeLab × sacai Collection," featuring new colors for the March collection along with a new Windrunner Skirt, Graphic Nike Tank, and Nike Dunk Lux, is scheduled for release in June.
