Japan's First! Introducing the Latest Global Concept Store

FENDI Matsuya Ginza Reopens After Renovation

FENDI Matsuya Ginza will reopen on Friday, September 5th. Designed by French architect Gwenaël Nicolas, who resides in Tokyo, it will be reborn as the first store in Japan to adopt the latest global store concept.

An Interior Where Roman Heritage Dialogues with Design and Avant-Garde Art

The new Matsuya Ginza store blends gentle warmth with grandeur. The interior is characterized by a harmonious interplay of space, intricate coloring, architectural styles, and contrasting materials. Travertine, a traditional stone used in ancient monuments and architecture, inspired by the brand's roots in Rome, Italy, takes center stage in the boutique alongside leather, bronze, and other stones.

A notable feature is the "Baguette Wall," where 17,167 bronze nails are meticulously arranged on the wall, creating a dreamlike display of the iconic Baguette bag. Furthermore, a round table created by French architect Thierry Lemaire enhances the luxurious ambiance. The collection boasts Japan's largest selection, ranging from the brand's signature leather goods and fur collections to ready-to-wear, shoes, and accessories.

To commemorate this reopening, a limited-edition color of the "Selleria Peekaboo" and a special "Ginza" version of the popular "Bag Bugs" fur accessories will be available. Additionally, the Selleria Made-to-Order "Intrecciato" service, making its debut in Japan, will be exclusively offered at this store.

Pietro Beccari, Fendi's Chairman and CEO, commented, "We are proud to open our latest global store concept in Ginza. The culture of this metropolis respects traditional craftsmanship while also embracing creativity and innovation. Fendi shares these same values, particularly in the world of design."
