A Passionate Collection for New Directions
FENDI presents its new capsule collection, "FF Vertigo," for the 2021 summer season. Centered around captivating yellow and light blue hues, this collection offers a wide range, from eye-catching bags for women and men to outdoor-inspired styles.
Men's Styles Inspire Adventure and Freedom
This marks a renewed collaboration with Sarah Coleman, who last year refreshed the FENDI Miami Design District store and created unique design pieces. Coleman is a New York-based visual artist known for her deconstructive approach to designer materials and her reinterpretation and reuse of everyday objects.
Artistic Director Silvia Fendi and Coleman collaborated on a new interpretation of the iconic FF logo, reimagining it through a 1970s psychedelic filter. This resulted in "FF Vertigo," a novel motif that puts a twist on the classic logo pattern.
For example, the new "Shopper" bag features the "FF Vertigo" pattern printed on waterproof-coated canvas in yellow or blue. Alongside these fresh colors, traditional jacquard fabric and leather materials are also offered.
The collection features feather-light textiles suitable for summer, incorporated into fun and practical designs. As part of the collaboration with Sarah Coleman, the "FF Fish Eye" motif, where the FF logo is distorted as if viewed through a fisheye lens, is also noteworthy.
The combination of elegance and contemporary functionality extends to the men's collection, strongly inspired by an outdoor mood. Lightweight fabrics, including "FF Vertigo" jacquard, are used for T-shirts, bowling shirts, and Bermuda shorts, as well as coordinated baggy pants, a glossy raincoat, and a cool fisherman's vest paired with a lightweight organza summer suit – all chic, practical, and playful.
The "Fendi Flow" sneakers and the new "Fendi Force" high-top sneakers, designed like trekking sandals, both feature the striking "FF Vertigo" print. Camping gear, including tents and men's high-tech backpacks, are authentic items produced by the specialist manufacturer Ferrino.
The "FF Vertigo" capsule collection is available from May 2021 at FENDI directly operated stores worldwide and the official online store.
