A Unique Store Expressing the Brand's Worldview in its Totality

Spanning 390 square meters across two floors, this flagship store draws inspiration from Francis Bacon's works, the surrealist artist H.R. Giger, and the architecture of Antoni Gaudí. The interior is unified by a palette of soft tones, including dove grey, lilac, soft gold, and white. The floors feature crushed Calcutta Oro marble, and the long-pile carpets are adorned with displays characterized by bronze animal feet and monster claws. The space subtly reflects the brand's worldview, incorporating elements like the "Armadillo" shoe into its sculptural forms.

The most striking feature is the art installation suspended from the ceiling on the second floor. Created by contemporary artists Takeo Hanazawa and Takao Togashi at the request of Alexander McQueen, it expresses ancient Japanese fables and the "Hyōnenzu" (a national treasure ink painting by Josetsu) through sculpture. Featuring gourds colored with traditional urushi lacquer techniques, catfish, skulls made from shell fragments, and chandelier crystals, the piece masterfully fuses the brand's signature elements with Japanese tradition.

The store offers a comprehensive selection of items, including men's and women's runway collections and accessories. Signature pieces such as skull scarves and knuckle box clutches are also available.

Sarah Burton commented, "This store incorporates unique and intricate elements such as a dramatic marble staircase, bespoke wall panels, and antique brass displays. Our belief in offering collections within a luxurious space is reflected here as well."
