Stylist Kumiko Iijima's "One-Piece Exhibition" Held




Works by stylist Kumiko Iijima, known for her styling for artists such as Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Ringo Sheena, and Yumi Matsutoya, are on display at the Beauty Marché on the first floor of "SHISEIDO THE GINZA" in Ginza, Tokyo, until Wednesday, December 25th.

Experience the Creativity of a Popular Stylist



"Itten-ten" (One-Piece Exhibition) is a special exhibition series at "SHISEIDO THE GINZA" where artworks by artists selected with discerning taste by art director Noritoshi Nishioka are displayed for approximately one month. The third installment features works by popular stylist Kumiko Iijima.

"With flowers, cosmetics, head-dresses, eyelashes, and ribbons, I adorn myself and enjoy the city, encountering the unseen and a new Christmas,—Iijima explains, with these wishes in mind." Original head-dresses are presented in a small 36cm square space.

Additionally, five units of the flower head-dress shown on the left will be sold in a limited edition during this "Itten-ten" exhibition.

Kumiko Iijima
After graduating from Bunka Fashion College with a degree in Apparel Technology, she worked as a stylist and as an assistant at "VOGUE NIPPON" before becoming an independent stylist in 2000. She is currently active in various fields, including advertising, editorials, music videos, fashion, stage productions, and concerts. She is forging ahead as a stylist and costume designer recognized not only in Japan but also globally, with clients such as Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Ringo Sheena, and Yumi Matsutoya.
