ISSEY MIYAKE / SEMBA Store Event to be Held
This spring, a new space opened in Minamisenba, Osaka, offering the full lines of ISSEY MIYAKE and ISSEY MIYAKE MEN. For the 2013-14 Autumn/Winter collection, the music for this space was handled byOpen Reel Ensembleand designer Yoshiyuki Miyamae will host a talk and live event titled "ISSEY MIYAKE × Open Reel Ensemble “Turn, Turn, check”" on Saturday, July 13th.

Inspired by aerial views of the ground, the ISSEY MIYAKE 2013-14 Autumn/Winter collection, themed "Hop, Step, Check," unfolds the check pattern across various elements of the garments.
At this event, "ISSEY MIYAKE × Open Reel Ensemble “Turn, Turn, check”," Open Reel Ensemble, who created the show's music, will perform a captivating live set using vintage reel-to-reel tape recorders and modern computers. This will be followed by a talk session where designer Yoshiyuki Miyamae and his team will share behind-the-scenes stories from the Paris Collection.
On the day of the event, a limited edition "ISSEY MIYAKE × Open Reel Ensemble" collaboration denim (¥30,450) will be available for purchase. Additionally, customers who spend ¥30,000 or more will receive a special edition CD (with DVD) as a gift.

Open Reel Ensemble
Formed in 2009 by Nagai Wada with fellow students Toshiyuki Sato, Yu Yoshida, Takumi Nanba, and Tadashi Yoshida. Their project, which involves connecting vintage reel-to-reel tape recorders with modern computers to perform them as "instruments," has garnered international attention. In March of this year, Gakken published "Kaiten ~En-Cyclepedia~," a book that serves as a manual for the Open Reel Ensemble.
