The Adult Beauty Stay Plan Begins!

This time, I visited Conrad Tokyo, located in Shiodome. I'd been to their spa and restaurants many times, but this was actually my first time staying overnight.

That day, after attending a new product launch event for "Orlane," a historic anti-aging brand founded by French nobility, I checked in just after dusk. Coincidentally (!?), Conrad Tokyo's "Adult Beauty Stay Plan" was a collaboration with Orlane, titled "Beauty Hunter – Conrad meets ORLANE."

In the room, I found an Orlane starter kit (worth ¥4,500) and their renowned anti-aging cream, Crème Royale (6ml / worth ¥9,000), formulated with royal jelly and gold. I could experience them thoroughly in my room. The large window offered a beautiful, sweeping view of Hamarikyu Gardens and the Rainbow Bridge. I took a photo on the sofa against the backdrop of the blue twilight sky. In honor of Crème Royale, a welcome drink with honey and gold flakes, along with a welcome dessert, marked the start of the Beauty Stay Plan.

For dinner, I enjoyed a gourmet course at "China Blue," a restaurant holding Michelin stars for five consecutive years, with their "Ultimate Beauty – Harmonious Cuisine for Health and Vitality" menu. It included dishes like marinated beef shank rich in collagen, served with a mineral-rich seaweed salad, and steamed white fish with isoflavone-rich tofu, drizzled with a miso sauce containing alpha-linolenic acid. The menu was packed with ingredients beneficial for healthy, beautiful skin, making it a truly exquisite meal. Including dessert, there were six courses. I was quite full. It was a satisfying, healthy Chinese meal that didn't feel heavy on the stomach!

Albert Tse (Xie Weicheng), the head chef who has led China Blue since its opening, came to greet us. When I introduced myself as "SAKURA," he said, "Ah, SAKURA-san, we happen to have a trial dessert with 'Sakura' completed..." and let me taste a sakura-themed dessert that will be introduced in April. It was delicious, a collaboration of sakura and strawberry. Please look forward to it.

Although not part of the plan, feeling uplifted by the hotel experience, I had a cocktail at the lounge bar after dinner. Feeling quite relaxed, I returned to my room for a short rest. The room for this plan was spacious at 48㎡, with a modern and contemporary design. The balanced use of woody materials created a very calming atmosphere.

After the turndown service, a small original teddy bear (Conrad Tokyo Bear) was placed on my pillow, as if welcoming me back. Furthermore, the Conrad King Duck, the icon character of the bathroom, was a comforting presence, making adult bath time more enjoyable (laughs).

Time for an In-Room Pampering Session...

I've been using "Orlane" since I started as a beauty journalist. It's a brand where I learned the importance of creating a skin environment that properly absorbs skincare, the secret to daily care that protects the skin from UV rays and free radicals by layering emulsions, how to apply lotion, and the relationship between cleansing milk and dry skin.

After generously using each item in the starter kit, I moved on to the star product, Crème Royale. I highly recommend using about half of it generously at this point. Applying it from my neck to my décolletage felt incredibly blissful. This is a perk of the job, but I also brought along the "Soin Système Jeunesse" (over ¥50,000 for 4 bottles), a super-concentrated serum launching this May. I used this serum before the cream. My skin regenerated visibly.

After my skincare routine, I relaxed in bed watching my favorite popular show, "MasterChef," on channel "FOXbs238." It features the legendary London chef, Gordon Ramsay.

Oh, and Conrad Tokyo's main dining restaurant is "Gordon Ramsay at Conrad Tokyo," a French restaurant where you can exclusively enjoy his signature dishes in Asia. Perhaps it was fate? Both with Orlane and Gordon Ramsay (laughs).

And so, I drifted into a deep sleep. In the morning, I ordered Conrad Tokyo's popular breakfast, Eggs Benedict, and fruit via room service. Before leaving, I enjoyed a coffee while gazing at the city view from the lounge. Feeling completely refreshed, with my skin in perfect condition, I headed to my next appointment.
