Are You Thinking About Saving Energy?

The other day, I visited a market hosted by a friend who produces plant arrangements. Just buying stylish vases and greenery sold only for that day lifted my spirits! My home has been accumulating more plants. On another day, I stopped by the "Nicolai Bergmann" cafe in Aoyama. The green decor covering an entire wall created a surprisingly calming space. I heard news about people growing gourd vines on their balconies and windows to block sunlight as a way to save energy, but it seems like it's going to be a summer full of green power (laughs).

At home, my favorites are organic fresh drinks and healthy chips, which I enjoy on my days off. From the French sparkling water & lemonade brand "ELIXIA," three organic flavors have been launched (available at Dean & DeLuca, etc.). The photo shows the rose flavor, but I also love the lemonade. It's a truly refreshing drink with a flavor that spreads like a picnic in a meadow!

For healthy chips, I go for "Daniel's," a chip specialist brand carried at "Whole Foods Market," a go-to for the trend-conscious in America. It's coming to Japan soon, but I got to try it early. I'm hooked! Depending on the fruit or vegetable, the texture is unique – not quite dried, not quite fried, but somewhere in between, with a satisfying chew.

For the Japanese launch, they've focused on flavors, with an impressive lineup including mango chips and royal sweet potato chips, which aren't available overseas. Using a cutting-edge "vacuum flying" method – where fresh ingredients are sprayed with high-temperature, fine mist palm oil in a low-pressure processing chamber – these healthy crispy fruit and veggie chips capture the freshness of just-harvested produce. You could almost call them "vegetables to go." I can't wait for the launch (after August) (laughs).

Of course, my cosmetics are also surrounded by green beauty! I've been using new products that have just been announced. Although there's still some time until their release, Addiction's new fall/winter nail color, Misty Rain 014, is beautiful with its iridescent pearls in green, pink, and blue (?).

In skincare, Helena Rubinstein's "Prodigy P.C. Night Shot" (releasing September 16th) comes in a compact size but seems powerful (?) and poised to thoroughly care for my skin overnight!
