Enhanced Program with Social Gatherings and Talk Shows

"Cotton Walk & Ride Kobe 2014" has been hosted annually by the KOBE BRUMMELL CLUB since 2011. This event brings together gentlemen and ladies for a cycling tour with a classical dress code, held in Kobe, the birthplace of modern Western clothing culture in Japan. In conjunction with the Grand Front Kobe's Old Foreign Settlement Festival and the Motomachi Shopping Street, which take place during the Golden Week holidays, this event aims to invigorate Kobe through the power of fashion.

In consideration of current cycling issues, the cycling portion will be a demonstration ride only, aimed at promoting etiquette. The main venue, Kobe Asahi Hall in the Old Foreign Settlement, will feature proposals for ride styles by tailors and shops, as well as exhibits by Kobe bicycle builders and vintage bicycle enthusiasts. Furthermore, a social gathering for participants is planned, offering catering from "Caterina," a popular ice cream and baked goods shop in Kobe, making for a truly fulfilling experience.

On Saturday, April 26th, the day before the main event, a talk show themed "Men's Fashion Over 30 Years in American Cinema" will be held at the Kobe Fashion Museum as a related event. Fashion connoisseurs such as Toshio Shirai, Haruo Suzuki, and Motoyuki Onishi will select films from the 1940s to 1960s and discuss them from a fashion perspective.
