A Shop Named “A Frequent Destination”
PORT OF CALL CAFE&STORE is a two-floor, multi-concept select shop featuring a shopping space centered around the Australian surf brand “THE CRITICAL SLIDE SOCIETY (T.C.S.S),” a hamburger cafe, and an exhibition space. “PORT OF CALL” means “a frequent destination.” True to its name, it offers a welcoming space that invites you to stop by whenever you have the time.
T.C.S.S began in September 2009. The brand was born from the vision of Jim Mitchell and Sam Coomes in a small cottage along Australia’s east coast. It fosters a world where people connect through surfing, fashion, art, and humor. Currently, it is available in select shops across Australia, the United States, Canada, Spain, and Japan.
Inside the store, artworks by the two founders of T.C.S.S are displayed, and the exhibition space regularly hosts yoga workshops and film screenings.
The cafe's recommended menu item is the hamburger. Beyond classic beef, they offer unique options featuring avocado and truffle. The second floor is conceived as an “attic,” providing an atmosphere akin to a grown-up’s hideaway.
