An American-influenced Interpretation of "Baseball"

Inspired by the adidas archives and infused with the free-spirited aesthetic of Opening Ceremony, the "adidas Originals by OPENING CEREMONY" Spring/Summer 2014 collection offers an exciting take on motifs symbolizing baseball and taekwondo, adding a fresh twist to each sport.

The "Baseball" pieces, arriving first in stores, feature a distinctive motif where the front and back are fastened with laces, reminiscent of a baseball glove. This design is applied to form-fitting dresses, blouson jackets, and mini skirts.

For men's jerseys, details inspired by sports such as patches, ribbed knit cuffs and hems, oversized brand logos, and enamel buttons are combined to create a compelling look.
The collection also includes luxury lambskin jerseys and shorts in college colors of red and blue, pinstripe shirts and sweats, a leather stadium jacket adorned with the Opening Ceremony logo, and body-conscious maxi dresses made from mesh jersey fabric.

The second installment, "Taekwondo," is scheduled for release in mid-March.

This season's footwear sees the revival of adidas's classic models. A highlight is the "Stan Smith," which appears as a high-top featuring the signature baseball glove stitching of this collection.
