FlyEase Technology Debuts in Nike Sportswear

2020 marks the 30th anniversary of the Nike Air Max 90. To celebrate this milestone year, Nike isreimagining the Air Max 90releasing new models.

The "Nike Air Max 90 FlyEase" launching now combines the heritage of the model, originally released as the Nike Air Max III in 1990, with FlyEase technology.

FlyEase technology, introduced in 2015, is a system designed for ease of entry, enabling all athletes, regardless of ability or age, to perform at their best. It features a zipper that wraps around the heel, opening to allow the foot to slide in and out easily.

This innovation has been adopted in over 20 footwear models, most recently appearing in the "Nike Air Zoom UNVRS" and "Air Jordan 1 High FlyEase."

With the "Nike Air Max 90 FlyEase," the flexible heel allows for quick and easy on and off as the wearer slides their foot in.

Introducing this innovative feature to the model required a careful balance between heritage design and technology.

Tinker Hatfield, the designer of the original "Nike Air Max III," commented, "It's not every day you get a second chance to make something better, to redo it. I wanted to merge something new and fresh and meaningful with a retro design, without changing too much."

The release date is Monday, March 9, 2020. Available in kids' sizes as well, this lineup of items fulfills the original purpose of FlyEase technology, designed for a wide range of users.
