Hybrid Forms Combining Different Materials
UGG®, a brand from Southern California, and sacai, a leading Japanese brand, have collaborated. A limited capsule collection with a dual-gender style is being released.
The concept of this collection is to create a "hybrid form" by combining completely different materials.
Sacai designer Chitose Abe has applied the aesthetic of hybridity to UGG®'s classic silhouettes, attaching striped knit to the vamp of the iconic sheepskin boot. This completes the "hybrid" collaboration item.
Regarding this collaboration, Abe commented, "I've always admired UGG not only for its comfort but also for the authenticity of its classic silhouette. I joined forces with UGG this time to explore the concept of classics."
The campaign features influencer and model Aleali May. It was shot in Los Angeles by photographer Robert Hamada, with styling by Stacy Zimmerman. It features the UGG® x Runway collection worn in the sacai runway show looks.
The items are available in three colors and two shaft heights. They can be purchased at sacai directly managed stores and the official UGG® website.
