“Clothes We Genuinely Want to Wear”
—What was the theme/concept for the Spring/Summer 2013 collection?
We didn't set a specific theme this season. The result is real clothing that we genuinely want to wear this spring.
—Please tell us about the theme/concept.
I focused on using bright colors in the styling. I like looks that convey a sense of hope.
—What is the key look (coordination)?
It's the "sportsman jacket x wide trousers" shown at the bottom right. It's a very bright and refreshing look, featuring a sportsman jacket made of cord lane fabric paired with a vibrant blue polo shirt and slightly wide white denim pants. I wore brown leather loafers with bare feet and a belt. It's a style that makes you want to visit a resort.
—What are the key items?
A short-sleeved sweatshirt made with FilMelange for both fabric and sewing. It has a vintage-inspired silhouette but is crafted from a light, soft fabric. We'd be happy if you wear it like a T-shirt.
—What are the key colors?
Yellow. I'm particularly drawn to a slightly reddish yellow, leaning towards mustard.
—Are there any designers or brands you are paying attention to?
Hedi Slimane's YSL.
—A message to your fans?
These are all very simple items. Please enjoy FUJITO's pieces, the kind that gradually become indispensable as they become familiar.
